SEABUOY GLOBAL is proud to announce the completion of our first product in the family, SB ONE

Working in collaboration with leading subsea services provider, Boskalis Subsea Services and OGTC, the SEABUOY team has developed and tested the first fully remote auditing software designed by and for the offshore energy industry.

Over the last decade, methods of audit delivery for mission critical assets within the subsea construction and wider offshore energy industry have not developed significantly. Current inefficient and non-cost effective processes can increase the level of risk within projects and operations.

In contrast, SEABUOY GLOBAL’s innovative auditing software fully embraces digitalisation and remote audit delivery, moving from traditional on-site processes with static outcomes to fully live audit templates which contain certificates, operating procedures, photographic and video evidence that can be reviewed, updated, and shared with internal or external stakeholders at any time.

SB ONE was validated during integration and testing of the saturation diving systems on board Boskalis vessels, the Boka Polaris and Boka Topaz. Throughout the project delivery, technicians on board each vessel and their asset managers were involved in the product design, planning and testing phases. Initial development sprints provided invaluable feedback from all parties and allowed SEABUOY to maintain user engagement and feedback throughout the development cycles.

Both vessels are now live with the capability for fully digital and remote audits, with further Boskalis fleet roll-out expected in the near future.

We were delighted to receive the support of both the OGTC and Boskalis throughout this project, which has confirmed that our technology has the ability to significantly impact upon audit delivery and the  internal support required during audit delivery, as well as offering greater transparency between users and their clients.

Stephen Ashley, Head of OE4 at OGTC commented:

“At OGTC we were very happy to support a project that supports our strategy to help the offshore energy industry increase automation, remote control and become more data driven. This project delivers a product that enables remote access and automated workflows, through the digitalisation of the audit process, that has the potential for driving a significant efficiency gain on audit delivery and completeness.”

Whilst we initially focus purely on SB ONE’s application to saturation diving systems and ROVs, we have reacted to the very positive user feedback and expanded product support. Additional areas where we now know our product will impact positively include hyperbaric facilities, lifeboats, helidecks, offshore platforms and renewables.
